![]() I believe a 3 level difference equates to approximately halving the damage you inflict, but I may be slightly off one way or the other. Your equipment was (most likely) only level 50 or so, correct? That level difference will impact the damage dealt, IIRC (it may be based on only player level vs enemy level, but I'm pretty sure weapon level factors in as well). Since you were level 61 when you started UVHM, all of the enemies were 60-62, or thereabouts. (Slag enemies take triple damage, rather than the double as in the other playthroughs, and the slag duration is increased.) In addition, UVHM (generally) increases enemy health by 4x, gives them some health regeneration, and places a HUGE emphasis on slag. Whatever level you (or the highest level character, if co-op) are, that's what level the enemies are. The third playing, UVHM, however, does not follow that same logic. Specifics will vary, due to random, but each area will be scaled for whatever level the devs intended a player to be at that point. Enemies (and, importantly, loot) that you encounter in any given point in the scenarios will always be the same levels. Both of the first two run-throughs are fixed level. I dipped my toe in the third run through at level 61, and got wtfbbqowned by the first billymogs you face right at the start of the game.Īssuming I'm not suffering from a reading fail, I would guess that the reason you got face stomped was largely due to a lack of proper equipment. Playing them all at level 61 (since most of them max out at 55 IIRC) would have been comparatively a bore. I played through Dragon Keep at level 41-47, Scarlett at 49-51 and Torgue at 51-53 and they were reasonably challenging without seeming unfair. If it's also the first time through them you've killed any enjoyment from whatever challenge they could provide. Thing is, if you do that with TVHM you're going to be waiting until after you've started UVHM to hit max level in order to run through those. TVHM can be difficult, but UVHM is a whole new level of pain. Doing them at max level means you have a better piece of loot that will last longer for the next difficulty level. The quest rewards scale with your level, and there are several truly amazing quest rewards in the DLC. Should I first get the DLC before doing that, or after doing that? Or does it really matter? ![]() I was going to start my Ultimate Vault Hunter mode play through first though. I eventually plan on buying more content DLCs (whatever they may, I understand there's quite a few of them). I just finished my run through the game and was about to start on ultimate vault hunter. ne play and download requires broadband internet service.
